After 4 long months of workshops, brainstorming, wireframes, development, headaches, joy and headaches again, we finally start to see the light in the tunnel.
The adventure of developing a completely new solution that no one else has managed before and in addition doing it in less than 5 months has been extremely demanding. But also filled with pride. It has been a roller coaster, but we are extremely pleased to have been part of it.
The process
We have now developed the algorithms that assign the training times automatically. Achieving this has been a major milestone. In fact, the most difficult part of the whole development journey.
Here is a quote that motivated us while we developed, from someone who works with the allocation of training times in a Swedish municipality.
I think it is difficult to see that it should be possible to develop an algorithm that can produce a proposal for the distribution of training times, there are many factors to take into account »(translated from Swedish)
Sports Consultant - municipal employee
This quote is taken from an interview we conducted to find out the need for the seasonal booking solution across the border to Sweden. We interviewed several and found out they have exactly the same challenges and needs. But hearing that something is impossible and then developing the "impossible" has been magically motivating for us.
There is a lot we want to highlight. But an important part of the process was design thinking. Where we put the users in focus. We have worked closely with Sarpsborg, Enebakk and Lørenskog, as well as the sports associations. Without the insight and contribution they have given us, we would never have managed this, we are extremely grateful!
What remains of the solution is to complete the dashboard for the municipalities and the calendar where the sports teams choose times to apply.
We look forward to showing you the final solution!
Meanwhile. Then you can see the demo we made in the beginning. If you have any feedback or comments, feel free to Contact Us!
